Efficiency of intravenous infusion of ketamine and lidocaine as part of multimodal analgesia in the postoperative period in children

BACKGROUND: The improvement of multimodal anesthesia schemes is clinical interest because the possibility reducing doses narcotic analgesics and earlier mobilization patients postoperatively.
 AIM: To evaluate efficiency intravenous infusion ketamine lidocaine as adjuvants for analgesia in children aged 1 year after cardiac surgery.
 MATERIALS AND METHODS: A prospective single-center study included 122 year, who divided into three groups: group 1, postoperative pain management a combination fentanyl (n = 40); 2 41), with fentanyl; 3 standard (fentanyl). median ages at time surgery were 4.0, 4.5, 4.0 months groups 2, 3, respectively. Anatomical, demographic, clinical, laboratory parameters analyzed before early RESULTS: intensity according to Neonatal Infant Pain Scale did not differ among any stage study. average dose was twice high 1.6 mcg/kg/h compared 0.5 0.6 2. Group had shorter duration mechanical ventilation an intergroup comparison. side effects recorded, hypersalivation noted 35% treated ketamine.
 CONCLUSIONS: Ketamine adjuvant provides adequate analgesic effect without significant on hemodynamics allows reduction opioids. component has additional opioid-sparing reduces time. use mg/kg/h accompanied by effects.
